What is turmeric actually?

Turmeric (also known as yellow spice, curcumin or turmeric) belongs to the ginger family and has a tuber-like, fleshy root. It has always been greatly valued by the people of Southeast Asia and is enjoying increasing popularity in the dietary supplement sector.
